Women's BJA Student Mentor GA

POSITION SUMMARY: Nine-month, Academic graduate assistant energized by spending time with 6th-12th grade students and mentoring them in their Christian walk. Must be able to work 30 hours per week. This position would begin August 2025. Applicants must be enrolled in post- graduate studies at BJU.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:   

  • Assist Student Experience Director in planning and executing student focused events
  • Build relationships with students
    • Spend time with students (could include lunches, on campus sports events, concerts, etc.)
    • Be alert to the needs of students
    • Be an initial point of contact for students who need spiritual, emotional, or academic support or life coaching
    • Meet with assigned students for Bible study or life coaching

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES: 

  • Enjoys working with middle and high school students
  • Spiritual maturity
  • Ability to help be  

COMPUTER SKILLS (Specific programs desired):        

  • Microsoft Excel
  • Microsoft Word
  • Microsoft Power Point
  • Google Sheets, Docs, Slides
  • Canva (online version)
  • Adobe products

Required Education: Bachelor's Degree; Must be enrolled in post-graduate studies at BJU
