POSITION SUMMARY: Are you passionate about creating educational videos? As a videographer at BJU Press, you’ll play a crucial role in our production team, handling the video elements of BJU Press projects. Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, video recording, audio recording, editing, and on-location shoots.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Operates studio equipment and manages various technical aspects of production.
- Captures live video recordings of instructors, primarily in the studio or at other locations.
- Serves as the videographer and editor for special segments.
- Collaborates closely with subject matter experts to produce a polished final product.
- Participates in pre-production tasks, including brainstorming and planning.
- Handles production tasks such as lighting and filming.
- Involved in post-production tasks like video editing, audio mixing, and color correction.
- Handles data entry and file management for video content.
- Supports the Videography Supervisor with various projects and tasks as needed.
- Bachelor's degree and one to two years experience in film production, television, video editing, or broadcasting.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
- Proficiency in video capture and editing is required; a background in cinema is a plus, though not essential.
- Extensive experience in recording, audio work, and studio production is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of video production processes and techniques.
- Familiarity with professional video equipment and software.
- Abliltiy to multi-task effectively.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Microsoft Office
