Student Life Office Manager

Position Summary:  40 hour position/12 month; Perform diversified administrative duties for the efficient operation of the office.


  • Process letters and student reports including data entry and proofreading for accuracy
  • Screen and direct incoming emails and calls; provide accurate information/assistance in a timely and courteous manner
  • Maintain directors' calendars, greet visitors, and screen unscheduled visitors
  • Keep directors on schedule with a detailed tickler file
  • Develop office policies and procedures, and ensure they are implemented appropriately
  • Manage office supplies inventory and place orders as necessary
  • Assist directors with Human Resources hiring (securing resignations from current employees, serving as a liaison for new hires) and time-off paperwork
  • Review, organize and maintain records for all faculty/staff and student evaluations
  • Organize front office staff including supervisors’ schedules at the front window
  • Process Corrective Responses and Withdrawals throughout the semester
  • Prepare semester dorm count reports, withdrawal comparison reports, and appeals summary reports
  • Prepare leadership retreat and staff training materials
  • Expedite materials or actions according to instructions with little or no supervision within assigned time frame
  • Review all reimbursement requests and prepare requisitions for the division


  • Good telephone skills, especially with a multi-line phone system
  • Strong communication skills, both written and oral
  • Professional in appearance and presentation
  • Ability to relate well to students, staff, and the general public in a courteous and professional manner
  • Strong organizational skills


  • Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Good keyboarding skills

Required Education: Bachelor's Degree
Required Experience: 3-4 years related experience
