POSITION SUMMARY:  We are looking for a competent student worker to help the Events Management Office with the daily tasks of planning, setting up and breaking down university events. The ideal candidate will be a hard working professional able to undertake a variety of tasks. We are looking for someone who will work diligently and show initiative with minimal supervision. This person should be comfortable working with a high degree of attention to detail as well as incorporating new and effective ways to achieve better results.


  • Assist with event set up and take down
  • Assist with event preparation
  • Deliver and return items to and from a variety of areas on campus
  • Outgoing personality, comfortable talking with and greeting guests
  • Ability to multi-task, manage projects, and organize responsibilities
  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor


  • Must be enrolled as a student at Bob Jones University
  • Be able to work 10 hours a week
  • Willing to work varying schedule
  • Ability to learn new skills
  • Average computer knowledge and skills
  • Must (occasionally) lift/carry up to 25 lbs. and push/pull up to 25 lbs.
  • Detail-oriented and organized
  • Quick learner who listens and asks good questions
  • Ability to meet deadlines and produce quality work
  • Enough confidence to share your ideas, participate in business conversations, and take and give constructive criticism
  • Positive disposition and ability to collaborate with others
