Seminary Faculty: New Testament

POSITION SUMMARY: The individual in this position shall function as a professor on the faculty of Bob Jones Seminary and potentially in the School of Theology and Global Leadership. He will be assigned to teach courses commensurate with his qualifications. He may also be tasked with special initiatives and/or given oversight or involvement in projects or areas deemed helpful to the strengthening and/or growth of the Seminary and School of Theology and Global Leadership.


  • To teach classes appropriate to his qualification and in line with his expertise and experience
  • To contribute to chapel in the Seminary and in FMA and conferences through preaching or whatever else is needed.
  • To be involved in the personal growth and intentional mentoring of students in the Seminary (as expected of all faculty)
  • To assist in the recruitment and overall growth of the academic programs for the Seminary (as expected of all faculty)
  • To assist the Seminary administration with the evaluation and updating of the academic programs of the Seminary
  • To teach New Testament and Greek courses and other courses that are consistent with academic qualifications of the professor
  • To write on topics of the professor’s expertise and contribute to blogs, presentations, and journal articles
  • To fulfill the responsibilities of a program coordinator and an academic advisor
  • To complete assessment requirements for the seminary in respect to his area of responsibility
  • To answers questions concerning faith, doctrine and position statements of BJU to constituents, students, or those inquiring about BJU


  • Passionate about the mission of BJU
  • Ability to multitask, manage projects and organize responsibilities
  • Effective oral and written communicator
  • Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals
  • Displays initiative, self-motivation and has a strong work ethic
  • High level ability in Greek reading and exegesis
  • Microsoft Office, Logos


Required Education: PhD
