POSITION SUMMARY: Assist with department events, operations, and academic function. Assist with student interaction, grading, class preparation, and projects related to the School of Religion. This is a nine-month academic position.


  • Attend classes for assigned courses and assist professor as needed
  • Handle class seating and attendance
  • Maintain regular, posted office hours and regularly communicate with students
  • Maintain and administer course materials in Canvas
  • Interact (in person and by e-mail) students who have questions about course material
  • Evaluate and grade student projects
  • Handle student accommodation requirements
  • Support School of Theology and Global Leadership activities and events
  • Be committed to personal and professional development
  • Able to occasionally lift/carry and push/pull up to 100 lbs. 


  • Enrolled in post-graduate studies at Bob Jones University (Seminary preferred)
  • Familiarity with BJU Bible Core
  • Familiarity with or ability to learn BJU’s LMS
  • Writing ability
  • Ability to make good connections with students


Required Education: Bachelor's Degree; Must be enrolled in post-graduate studies at BJU
