School of Religion Research & Co-Curricular Coordinator (GA)

Position Summary: Enable co-curricular outreach through R&G and TTD for scores of student across BJU each year; enable leadership opportunities and growth for these students; work closely with CGO and CLD; coordinate with academic leadership to recruit and interact with pros students for all schools, particularly SOR; execute key academic initiatives in the SOR and provide concrete value to the entire organization; support SOR academic initiatives and provide research and special initiatives support to the Dean.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Apologetics Team – support lecture/presentation content and editing
  • Research projects and writing (books, articles, blog and other media), including research for the dean
  • Supporting faculty academic loads
  • Student coaching program
  • Academic Content Tours for High School students
  • Kerux – developing a highly desirable student preaching brand
  • Strategic student identification
  • Rooted & Grounded—coaching, training, mentoring, planning, marketing, supporting, background checking
  • Teach Them Diligently—coaching, training, mentoring, planning, supporting
  • Representing the Ministerial Training sub-department for various concerns
  • Recruiting for SOR
  • Purchasing miscellany for the Office of Enrollment and Ministerial Advancement and completing a monthly expense report
  • Other logistics and tasks as needed

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Passionate about the mission of BJU
  • Ability to multitask, manage projects and organize responsibilities
  • Effect oral and written communicator
  • Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals
  • Displays initiative, self-motivation and has a strong work ethic
  • Strong administrative skills
  • Theological inclination and ability
  • Experience organizing, planning, staffing, and marketing events

Required Education: Bachelors Degree, preferably from Bob Jones University
Required Experience: No prior experience required
