School of Health Professions Graduate Assistant

Position Summary: Help organize and run social media sites, make connections with local and global partners, and coordinate all promotional activities for the School of Health Professions (SHP). 

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Help to develop online career planning information and update social media sites
  • Incorporate and maintain web and social media outlets for promotions and advertising
  • Create and maintain connections with other university departments and local partners to present up-to-date information and provide value
  • Manage campus visit events for SHP (college up close, AACS, spring preview)
  • Develop and create a marketing and social media plan to promote, enhance and develop interest in programs, services, and facilities offered by SHP
  • Create email campaigns for prospective students
  • Create campus visit bags for prospective students
  • Assist the SHP Dean and Operations Coordinator with recruitment and promotion planning and implementations
  • Mentor students in career path options
  • Grade student papers as needed
  • Other duties as assigned based on the needs of the SHP
  • Opportunity of attending chapel and special events
  • Communicates the religious beliefs of BJU to students and student affiliates
  • Answers questions concerning faith, doctrine and creed of BJU to constituents, students, or those inquiring about BJU

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

  • Effective in oral and written communication
  • Demonstrate organizational abilities
  • Detail oriented
  • Professional in appearance and presentation
  • Exemplify a biblical role model for students and colleagues
  • Occasionally lift/carry up to 50 lbs. 

Required Education: Bachelor's Degree; Must be enrolled in post-graduate studies at Bob Jones University
