School of Education and Human Services Operations Coordinator

Position Summary: The Operations Coordinator is responsible for executing operational priorities for the continued success of the programs in the School of Education & Human Services. S/he focuses on leading the execution of operational tactics and activities, along with providing support for strategic initiatives. The Operations Coordinator will need to be diligent, intellectually curious, good at constructive problem solving with students as well as internal and external personnel, and able to relate to day-to-day activities in order to help accomplish the goals of the School of Education & Human Services.


  • Coordinate the Dean’s schedule and appointments.
  • Process and maintain all official communications from the School of Education & Human Services.
  • Assist with travel planning logistics, as needed.
  • Manage meeting minutes.
  • Interface with the Division Chairs, Registrar’s Office, and Event’s Office to coordinate the School of Education & Human Services’ master calendar.
  • Plan and schedule events including the scheduling of locations for meetings and notify personnel scheduled for attendance.
  • Interface with the Division Chairs in the marketing of academic programs and recruitment of prospective students. This will include working with Marketing and Video services in the development and maintenance of social media and school/division web sites.
  • Interface with the Admissions Department in promoting SOEHS programs as well as be proficient in the use of the BI tool in tracking and interacting with prospective students.
  • Provide support to Division Chairs with student orientations (i.e., College Up Close), scheduling issues, catalog changes, planning summer orientation, etc.
  • Interface with Financial Services in the maintaining of financial reports for the School of Education & Human Services and its divisions.
  • Assist the Dean and Division Chairs in the annual budget process.
  • Interface with the Division Chairs and the Registrar’s Office in the procurement of annual academic awards.
  • Provide support to the Dean and Division Chairs in various School of Education & Human Services initiatives.
  • Assist in the recruitment and processing of new hires for the School of Education & Human Services.
  • Coordinate information flow and communication by informing faculty of changes in university plans and programs toward filling identified needs or resolving problems.
  • Provide support to students accepted in the graduate online programs offered through the School of Continuing, Online and Professional Education.
  • Interface with SCOPE in the planning and coordination of opportunities between the SOEHS and the Adult Learner.
  • Maintain the Speaker Bureau’s website. Interact with Admissions and Christian School Conference planners in the identification of speakers for annual conferences. 
  • Be available to travel (if necessary) to exhibit and recruit for School of Education and Human Services programs and initiatives.
  • Travel to sites in and beyond the local area and participate in trainings and meetings as needed.
  • Attend chapel, faculty/staff meetings, and departmental meetings
  • Adhere to guidelines outlined in the Academic and Faculty/Staff Handbook


  • Consistent excellence in communications, both written and verbal, is required
  • Excellent computer skills required, coupled with the ability to quickly learn new software suites and functionality
  • Must be able to manage time effectively
  • Must be able to work autonomously to achieve defined project goals
  • Must be able to build and maintain successful relationships with internal and external stakeholders, as needed
  • Must have strong attention to detail, adherence to deadlines, and consistent follow through
  • Strong familiarity with web-based delivery and video technology

  • Proficiency of Social Media Skills (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Web Publishing)

Required Education: Master's degree
Required Experience: One to two year related experience
