Press Digital Support Associate

Position Summary: Work with BJU Press materials to implement them in a digital environment and provide technical support to BJU Press customers.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Prepare and upload new content received from BJU Press Digital Production & Distribution and other departments to online platforms.
  • Maintain content of online platforms including making necessary revisions to online files, renaming and reorganizing content.
  • Prepare files from Content Development for eTextbooks.
  • Provide technical support for BJU Press products via phone/email to homeschool and Christian school users.
  • Assist in design and testing of new technologies.
  • Support Highfive video conferencing.
  • Assist with writing guidelines and manuals on digital products for BJU Press employees and customers.
  • Train BJU Press employees to use software for projects and products.
  • Communicate new developments of online platforms to other departments and customers.
  • Maintain knowledge of BJU Press products and services as well as educational philosophy and method.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, especially in the area of explanation and description
  • Problem-solving ability in the area of computer programs and performance
  • Technical aptitude--able to infer connections between various applications, programs, and operating systems
  • Ability to relate well with people
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Self-motivated to grow and learn
  • Experience with solving computer-related problems preferred
  • Experience with PC, Mac, iOS, and Android devices preferred
  • Homeschool or Christian school experience a plus
