Digital Project Coordinator

POSITION SUMMARY:  Plan, track, evaluate, and facilitate the maintenance of Press Digital projects: primarily elementary and secondary course created for BJU Press customers.


  • Communicate with project team members and department supervisors
  • Communicate with vendors and freelance team members assigned to a project
  • Coordinate the development of strategic plans including production milestones and schedules
  • Coordinate the implementation of strategic plans by creating work progress tracking charts
  • Attend specific project team meetings and work with teams as they set and achieve weekly goals
  • Report to management weekly on the progress of project management goals
  • Coordinate the definition of project requirements and specifications
  • Coordinate the development of the work breakdown structure for each project
  • Coordinate the work flow development and schedule the work tasks for the team members on a project
  • Close projects upon project completion
  • Develop a basic understanding of the physical book production process
  • Clearly understand the distance learning video production process


  • Understanding of the principles of effective project management
  • Background in education preferred
  • Good organizational skills
  • Good communication skills
  • Good motivational skills
  • Computer skills
    • Microsoft Excel, Word, and Access
    • Additional programs include: Project management software; prior knowledge of project management software (Microsoft Project, Teamwork, Microsoft Teams, etc.) is beneficial and desirable, but not required.

Required Education: Bachelor's Degree
Required Experience: One to two years related experience
