POSITION SUMMARY: Assists teachers in implementing daily curriculum that is developmentally appropriate for K3 – K5 children.

Student employees hired for this position may be eligible for the Federal Work Study program. If you are qualified, you will be contacted with more information.


  • Follows proper safety guidelines to ensure the well-being of children at all times
  • Performs assigned responsibilities, duties, and tasks according to established practices, procedures, techniques and standards with minimal supervision
  • Times available: 7:30 am -2:30 pm


  • Must be 18 years of age
  • Must be enrolled as a student at Bob Jones University
  • Successfully complete SLED and FBI checks
  • Complete a health exam including a TB test (K3 & K4 aides)
  • Capable of maintaining a positive attitude and a caring concern toward children, parents, and coworkers
  • Knowledge of developmentally appropriate practices for young children
  • Ability to provide guidance to young children
  • Ability to move quickly
  • Ability to lift children, equipment and supplies; hear and see at a distance
  • Must (occasionally) lift/carry up to 50 lbs. and push/pull up to 40 lbs.

Certificates & Licenses:

  • DSS certification (K3 & K4 aides)
  • Blood Borne Pathogens training
  • 15 clock hours of training annually pertaining to Growth and Development, Curriculum, and Health and Safety (K3 & K4 aides)
