POSITION SUMMARY:  Aids the mission of BJU through implementation of Advancement phonathon practices including solicitation, stewardship and invitation through communication with alumni and friends of Bob Jones University. Other responsibilities include but are not limited to the organization, communication and implementation of activities relating to Advancement events and office policy.


  • Solicit, invite and thank alumni and friends through phone calls.
  • Supervise student callers during two evening shifts per week and other scheduled times.
  • Assist with department events and help plan new events as needed/requested.
  • Write stewardship and solicitation letters as requested.
  • Perform data entry tasks.
  • Help with general office tasks as needed.

  • Basic Window, Excel, and PowerPoint skills
  • Flexibility in effectively managing competing priorities and meeting deadlines in a constantly changing work environment.

  • Showing initiative while working well under authority
  • Minimum one year of BJU training 
  • Must be able to frequently stand. 
  • Must be able to occasionally lift/carry up 50 lbs. 
  • Must be able to occasionally push/pull up 50 lbs. 

Required Education: Bachelor's Degree; Must be enrolled in post-graduate studies at BJU
Required Experience: One year minimum of BJU training
