Position Summary: The SHP Community Liaison is responsible for maintaining current relationships and establishing new relationships to support the internship and clinical requirements for students in the School of Health Professions. This position is responsible for interacting with community partners in order to support experiential learning, academic requirements, and career readiness. The Community Liaison will also be responsible for communicating these opportunities to current and prospective students and connecting those students to available opportunities.


  • Serve as a liaison to other SHP Divisions and the Alumni Relations office.
  • Support activities related to community engagement for the SHP.
  • Maintain community relationships necessary for internships, practicums, and clinical experiences.
  • Update site information for internships, practicums, and clinical experiences.
  • Communicate with internship, practicum, and clinical sites for student and SHP requirements.
  • Actively look for additional internship, practicum, and clinical experience sites in collaboration with the division chairs.
  • Participate in division meetings.
  • Support the division chairs by establishing relationships with local and regional graduate schools.
  • Stay up-to-date with the local and regional graduate school requirements and help to connect students as needed.
  • Maintain a good relationship with employers and career services to advertise opportunities to students

Required Education: Bachelor's Degree
Required Experience: One to two years related experience
