Service Desk Mac Support Specialist

POSITION SUMMARY: The Service Desk Mac Support Specialist will provide technology support for BJU, Inc. and BJU Education Group Mac computers, devices, applications, printers, and phones. Service Desk Mac Support Specialists oversee student technicians and assure users’ needs are addressed.


  • Provide solutions to user issues with Mac hardware, network, printers and software
  • Research computer issues and offer resolutions based on research
  • Integrate Mac support processes
  • Regularly evaluation of Mac support processes
  • Oversee service desk team queue
  • Maintain documentation about issues and solutions
  • Train and develop employees in their professional growth
  • Ensure Service Desk processes are consistently followed
  • Respond quickly and competently to user requests
  • Provide consistent communication to users regarding their requests
  • Serve as back up for fellow Service Desk staff memebers
  • Participate in project teams, as needed
  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor


  • Ability to lead others
  • Ability to work with frequent interruptions
  • Ability to take initiative in solving problems
  • Exhibited knowledge of operating system platforms such as Apple and Windows
  • Basic knowledge of LAN, hubs, switches and network configuration
  • Some experience in technical computer support
  • Some experience in Microsoft InTune
  • Ability to interface with users and discuss issues in language users will understand
  • Advanced knowledge of computer hardware and software components
  • Advanced working knowledge of basic office and non-standard applications
  • Advanced troubleshooting capabilities
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability and willingness to learn new technologies
  • Desire to teach other about technology

Required Education: Associate's Degree
Required Experience: 1-2 years
