Position Summary: Supervise teams and manage education technology content for BJU Press.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Coordinate efforts on each assigned project with the Academic Integrity, Customer Service, and Sales/Marketing teams
- Assign and oversee projects for the BJU Press Education Technology team
- Communicate with digital platform vendors including scope of development and ongoing support of BJU Press Ed Tech platforms.
- Communicate development and content changes of BJU Press Ed Tech platforms to Academic Integrity, Press Digital, Customer Service, and Sales/Marketing teams
- Research new software and platforms for future implementation
- Actively participate in developing the latest organizational systems for managing the Education Technology content of BJU Press
- Oversee support for BJU Press Ed Tech users including phone/email support and the creation of instruction manuals and videos
- Assist in other projects as assigned by Senior Manager, Education Technology
- Coordinate additional Education Technology help as directed by the Senior Manager's projects and accompanying deadlines
- Stay current in educational trends in technology
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Conversant in educational technology tools (apps, eTextbooks, assessment tools, LMS integration, etc.)
- Awareness of broad trends in educational technology (blended learning, personalized instrucation, mobile devices, etc.)
- Analytical and troubleshooting skills
- Customer-service skills
- Communication skills: oral and written
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Demonstrate organizational ability
- Training and experience in some combination of education, technology, and publishing.
Required Education: Bachelor's Degree
Required Experience: Three to four years related experience preferred
