Studio Production Support Specialist

Position Summary: Maintains and supports all production equipment and studios for all Press Digital activities (non-broadcast).


  • Troubleshoot, diagnose and repair equipment issues to include studio and production equipment
  • Ensure video files move though production workflow
  • Perform upkeep of MAM/DAM database
  • Assist in research, recommend, and set-up new production equipment
  • Assists in special projects as assigned by Operations Supervisor or Production Manager


  • Knowledge and experience with audio and video equipment (cameras, lights, microphones, tripods, switchers, graphics computers, recorders, etc.)
  • Ability to understand and troubleshoot signal flow (video, computer, audio)
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as operating and maintenance procedures, system documentation, technical manuals, system diagrams, etc.
  • Ability to clearly write detailed procedures and technical documentation
  • Ability to creatively approach problems not covered by existing procedures
  • IP networking as it relates to production equipment control
  • Preferred -- mechanical and electrical aptitude
  • Preferred -- knowledge of nonlinear editing concepts and practices
  • Preferred -- general IT support experience and skills
  • Associate's degree or bachelor's degree in broadcast engineering, electrical engineering, computer science, or equivalent experience
  • Prior experience as an engineer in a broadcast or audio/video production facility preferred
  • Experience with computers and networking

Required Education: Associate's Degree
