Middle School Late Stay Coordinator (GA)

Do you love working with middle school students and enjoy administrative responsibilities? Consider joining a thriving educational environment as the coordinator for the BJA middle school late stay program. This position oversees the after school care program for middle school students, provides safe learning and recreational environment, hires BJU student workers and coordinates their schedules with Late Stay program; engages in student discipleship as needed; coordinates all BJU student worker assignments each afternoon, and regularly communicates with parents and teachers.  A great opportunity for leadership and influence in the lives of BJA and BJU students!


Oversee middle school after school care program 

  • Provide and maintain a safe learning and recreational environment for students 
  • Assist students with academic needs 
  • Disciple students as needed 

Supervise BJU student workers 

  • Interview and hire university student employees  
  • Review school policies with all workers 
  • Create employee schedules 
  • Conduct performance reviews of all student workers 
  • Resolve problems created by special school days
  • Communicate regularly with student workers  

Communicate regularly with MS administration, teachers, parents, and students

  • Keep the MS principal abreast of concerns regarding the program 
  • Engage parents as partners in student discipleship 
  • Communicate with teachers regarding help classes, clubs, or other after-school activities 
  • Communicate with students 

Required Education: Bachelor's Degree
Required Experience: Prior experience with youth, e.g., a camp ministry or Sunday School preferred
