Manager, IT Client Services

Position Summary: The Client Services Manager is responsible for the oversight and administration of IT front line services to our customers.  Teams under this manager include IT Assets and IT Service Desk.  Primary goal for this position is to develop practices and team members who can provide exceptional customer support and services to the Bob Jones University organization.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Oversee administration of the desktop computing environment for faculty, staff and students.
  • Oversee administration of University physical IT assets
  • Responsible for teams that provide onsite and remote support to university users to enable them to complete their jobs.
  • Continual development of best practices for providing timely support and services.
  • Oversee and guide training and employee development for each team under IT Client Services.
  • Make recommendations to IT management for tools and practices that will enable Client Services teams to excel at customer service.
  • Develop and maintain KPIs for each team.
  • Develop and maintain installation and configuration documentation for software supported by BJU desktop computing environment.
  • Oversee support, upgrades, and refreshment of BJU desktop fleet
  • Assist in hiring and training of personnel.
  • Recommend hardware specifications for fleet refreshes and specific requests that will assist each department with their business needs.
  • Participate on project teams as needed.
  • Other job duties as assigned by supervisor

COMPUTER SKILLS:

  • Microsoft Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Access

Required Education: Bachelor's Degree
Required Experience: Three to four years related experience
