IT Assets, Supervisor

Position Summary:  The IT Assets Management Supervisor oversees the IT Asset Management team by setting and communicating job priorities and responsibilities while implementing IT asset management best practices to increase return on investment, decrease total cost of ownership, and to mitigate compliance risk.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Supervise IT Assets Management team.
  • Oversee all aspects of IT Assets by overseeing all aspects of receiving, provisioning, deployment, tracking, and disposition of IT assets.
  • Assist with establishing hardware and software standards.
  • Implement IT assets management best practices by defining goals and practices based on industry standards and state and federal guidelines.
  • Create processes to coordinate alignment with IT and University goals and missions.
  • Improve IT Assets by evaluating and redesigning processes and implementing changes.
  • Assure e-waste compliance and documentation.
  • Effectively allocate resources and time of the IT Assets Management team.
  • Manage assets tracking tool database integrity of inventory.
  • Ensure accuracy of data in assets tracking repositories.
  • Work with Director/Manager on employee development.
  • Participate in project teams as needed.
  • Supervise Student Technician job scheduling and daily assignments.
  • Other duties as assigned

COMPUTER SKILLS:

  • Microsoft Word, Excel, Powerpoint, MS Visio

Required Education: Bachelor's Degree
Required Experience: One to two years related experience
