HR Staffing Services Manager

Position Summary: Lead recruiting, evaluating, job matching and hiring of individuals who not only have the needful qualifications, but also a heart for God to meet the BJU, Inc and BJU Education Group’s staffing needs and alignment.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Leads in the overall daily workflow of the HR Staffing department
  • Oversee the development of contacts and relationships to expand recruiting base and encourage potential applicants
  • Post and maintain internal and external job postings
  • Evaluate the performance of the HR Staffing team
  • Reviewing and leading in the implementation of job advertising options and venues
  • Develops new strategies and programs for attracting candidates.
  • Work with chiefs, directors, and managers about current and upcoming needs
  • Ensure regular communication with potential applicants
  • Gatekeeper of all applicants: review, interview, route
  • Oversight of reference checking, background checks
  • Present employment offers and maintain communication with potential candidates
  • Oversight of job descriptions for all positions
  • Actively recruiting possible future employees by posting and maintaining the various web sites, brochures, communication, etc., for current and future positions
  • Support and help new employees in transition
  • Oversee internal job transfers
  • Oversight and execution of new employee orientation
  • Communicates the religious beliefs of BJU to students and student affiliates
  • Answers questions concerning faith, doctrine, and creed of BJU to constituents, students, or those inquiring about BJU

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Discernment
  • Understanding of recruiting methods and best practices
  • Strong commitment to the goals, mission, and direction of BJU
  • Knowledge of modern office practices, procedures, and management principles
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet constant deadlines
  • Detail-oriented with proofreading skills
  • Basic mathematical skills
  • Organizational and multi-tasking skills
  • Good communication and people skills; good interviewing skills
  • Initiative and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively with employees at all levels of the organization
  • Professional in appearance and presentation
  • Effective keyboarding skills

COMPUTER SKILLS:

  • Microsoft Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Access
  • Knowledge of related software

Required Education: Bachelor's Degree
Required Experience: Five or more years related experience
