Position Summary: The Health Sciences Teaching Assistant is responsible for teaching three anatomy and physiology laboratory sections and aiding in the grading of assignments for the large A&P classes (Anatomy & Physiology I and II).
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Under the direction of the professor teaching the Anatomy & Physiology I and II courses, the graduate assistant will teach three sections of A&P labs each semester. The graduate assistant will grade all sections of the labs taught by other instructors and will grade other assignments in the large A&P classes. As an instructor, the graduate assistant will meet with the professor of the class on a weekly basis and maintain regular office hours to meet with students.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
A knowledge of anatomy, physiology, biology and chemistry at the undergraduate level is required.
Required Education: Bachelor's degree; Must be enrolled in a graduate program at BJU
Required Experience: No prior experience required
