Film Archivist (GA)

Position Summary: Facilitate and operate the handling, organization and scanning of BJU’s 16mm film assets. This position is a 12-month staff graduate assistant position. 

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Prepare 16mm film for scanning
  • Operate the film scanner
  • Input metadata about the film content scanned
  • Help with digitizing other historical media assets such as film audio and  video recordings

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Data base management or film handling
  • Occasionally lift/carry up to and push/pull over 100 lbs. 

Required Education: Must be enrolled in post-graduate studies at Bob Jones University
