Exercise Science and Nursing Division Assistant

Position Summary: The Assistant to the Division of Exercise Science and Nursing will help with the everyday activities of the Divisions, oversee events; provide support and counsel; coordinate functions required for the efficient operation of the Divisions; perform diversified and advanced organizational duties; expedite material or actions requested by the division chair; and work projects to assist the organizational strategy.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Generate and document correspondence.
  • Provide information and assistance in a timely and courteous manner.
  • Perform data entry using Word, Excel, and Adobe software; proofread all work to ensure accuracy.
  • Coordinate various division/campus events.
  • Coordinate student associations (UNA and ESSA) events.
  • Coordinate and assist with hospitality for special guests as needed.
  • Order items through Bellis, Nexus, Distribution, Facilities, and other vendors.
  • Keep subscriptions current (magazines, memberships, and others).
  • Update information and maintain records for division, academic program, and graduation requirements.
  • Address needs of faculty and students as they arise (equipment, supplies, building needs, repairs, etc.).
  • Assist with new program and accreditation paperwork.
  • Organize the division chair’s schedule for
  • Assist with documents for the Division chair, Nursing and Exercise & Sport Science faculty
  • Provide support for division research projects.
  • Assist with organizing recommendation letters.
  • Serve as a liaison to Marketing, Events, and other departments on campus as needed.
  • Assist Division of Nursing Clinical Compliance Coordinator to maintain student and faculty health requirements.
  • Assist Division of Exercise & Sport Science Internship Coordinator with internship site and health documentation.

Required Education: Bachelor's Degree Preferred
Required Experience: One to two years related experience
