Position Summary: Provide course instruction and oversight of students from a Biblical worldview in Sport Management and Kinesiology.


  • Teach assigned courses
  • Maintain regular posted office hours to be available to students
  • Serve as program coordinator responsible for curriculum development and review
  • Continuously monitor research and trends to make recommendations concerning program and course updates
  • Participate in divisional/departmental meetings and activities (including curriculum development, serving on committees)
  • Serve as academic advisor
  • Assist the dean of the school and division chair with other duties
  • Support activities related to the academic school, division, and/or department
  • Participate in University service activities
  • Attend required meetings (including chapel, faculty/staff meetings, division meetings, and convocations)
  • Maintain thorough and current faculty portfolio
  • Committed to personal professional development
  • Adhere to guidelines outlines in the Academic and Faculty/Staff Handbooks
  • Communicates the religious beliefs of BJU to students and student affiliates
  • Answers questions concerning faith, doctrine and creed of BJU to constituents, students, or those inquiring about BJU


  • Possess knowledge of teaching field
  • Demonstrate excellent communication skills in the classroom and interpersonally with students
  • Demonstrate organizational abilities in teaching and classroom management
  • Integrate biblical principles and subject matter
  • Exemplify a biblical role model for students and colleagues
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate on an interdisciplinary team
  • Master's degree in teaching field required
  • Terminal degree preferred
  • Teaching experience preferred

Required Education: Master's degree in teaching field
Required Experience: Three to four years related experience
