POSITION SUMMARY: Under general supervision of the Sr. Director of Office of Planning, Research, and Assessment and in conjunction with the Provost, manages multiple assessment initiatives for the institution, academic programs, academic divisions, schools, and business units. This position is the liaison between the Office of Planning, Research, and Assessment and the deans, division chairmen, assessment coordinators and faculty.
PRIMARY FUNCTIONS:
- Establish and direct BJU's assessment programs and strategies
- Assess student learning in academic programs
- Assess the effectiveness of the BJU Core
- Plan and execute program review and division review processes
- Ensure assessments align with educational philosophy
- Manage course evaluations
- Generate internal and external reports based on assessment activities
- Train assessment coordinators and faculty in assessment theory and practice
- Administer software used to coordinate and document assessment activities
- Manage and analyze institutional surveys
- Manage academic and institutional projects as needed
- Create the annual Planning Report and related documents for use by the institution
- Contribute to BJU's institutional and programmatic accreditations
- Manage substantive changes with institutional accreditors
- Assist the Provost in managing Curriculum Committee
- Participate on Deans Council and other committees as warranted
- Review and contribute to BJU's policies
- Support executives, faculty, deans, division chairs, and staff departments as warranted
- Other duties as assigned.
