Digital Content Specialist and Coordinator

Position Summary: Further the objectives of BJU Marketing by providing a top-tier website and digital experiences; supports all aspects of BJU's digital marketing initiatives and other marketing initiatives as assigned.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Contributes to the Marketing team by managing the content strategy for the official websites, prioritizing bju.edu
  • Ensures a strategic digital focus by creating, translating and updating content for websites and other digital avenues such as email; filters requests received from outside Marketing
  • Maintains a quality brand experience by ensuring that all content is high quality and aligns with corporate style while being user friendly and marketing focused
  • Oversees all aspects of the website in coordination with Marketing developers, creative teams and IT
  • Assists Marketing by tracking and reporting on website traffic and digital advertising
  • Partners on social & digital advertising

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

  • Ability to write HTML
  • Familiarity with CSS and PHP a plus
  • Good reader and listener with strong people skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Previous editorial experience a plus
  • Must be able to write clear, readable text that communicates concepts precisely
  • Ability to learn quickly and stay current on website technologies and best practices.
  • Familiar with PhotoShop

Required Education: Bachelor's Degree
Required Experience: One or two years related experience
