Bruins Shop Supervisor/Buyer

Position Summary: Manage and coordinate activities of the Campus Store to ensure an efficient and economically sound operation.


  • Responsible for financial aspects of the Bruins Shop
  • Assist in reviewing store policies and procedures; make recommendations, and implement changes
  • Manage the buying, receiving, stocking, and marketing of some departments of the store
  • Establish and monitor store security policies and procedures
  • Lead employees in establishing and maintaining effective customer relations
  • Support the University and market the store by coordinating with other departments on campus led events (i.e.: Homecoming, Bible Conference, etc.)


  • Ability to coordinate operations of a multi-faceted and fast-paced service-oriented educational enterprise
  • Ability to analyze pricing/markdown methods and inventory turns and margins to evaluate profitability
  • Ability to evaluate assigned staff in compliance with policies and procedures
  • Good interpersonal and leadership skills
  • Ability to work irregular hours, including evenings, weekends, and overtime during peak periods
  • Ability to push/pull and lift/carry up to 40lbs


  • Microsoft Word, Excel, Powerpoint
  • Computerized inventory systems and point-of-sale operation

Required Education: Associate's Degree
Required Experience: One to two years related experience
