Producer Specialist

POSITION SUMMARY:  BJU Press Digital Producer Specialists help design, plan, cast, coordinate, direct, and sometimes act in short educational videos. Original content ranges from describing nouns to defining cryogenics and keeps the job interesting and educational. Our producers typically hold degrees in theatre arts (or similar degrees in production), are excellent collaborators, are well-organized, and have a heart for making Christian education visually engaging through video.

BJU Press Text Permissions Specialist

POSITION SUMMARY:  If you are good with details and enjoy digging for information and locating sources, you may be just the right person for our Permissions team. As a text permissions specialist, you will contact publishing houses and authors, secure copyright licenses, hunt down elusive text vendors, and create accurate charts and contracts. Your goal is to help obtain literature for textbooks while maintaining copyright compliance. You will be working with writers and editors and our growing team of permissions specialists to help BJU Press do everything we can so Christian education can do everything it must.

POSITION SUMMARY:  This is not a remote position. A BJU Press Bible editor is responsible for the editorial quality of BJU Press K-12 and university-level Bible textbooks and ancillary materials, in both print and electronic forms. The editor generally functions within the context of a product-line team. The editor works to ensure that the writer's message is communicated to the target audience clearly and accurately in all aspects of its presentation—text, graphics, and layout.

POSITION SUMMARY:  As a BJU Press page-layout specialist, you have a part in creating textbooks and other K-12 educational products as you place text and images into Adobe InDesign templates. The materials are all prepared for you—it’s your job to bring them together on the page. You work with an editor and other team members to proof and fine-tune the pages. When your project is finished, you send the files to the BJU Press Printing Division and then look forward to holding the printed book in your hands or seeing your work in the form of a digital textbook.

POSITION SUMMARY: The Testing Specialist assists in the preparation, customer support, and administration with online testing.
