BJA Primary Center Administrative Assistant

Position Summary: Perform a variety of administrative functions; assist the principal as needed; provide assistance to students and families. Position starts early August 2022.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Schedule appointments
  • Answer questions and provide information about school and classroom activities
  • Assist prospective families through the admission process
  • Greet and assist parents and guests in a courteous, timely and effective manner
  • Assist students as needed, including for minor health and injury support
  • Communicate with faculty and parents as necessary
  • Generate and document correspondence
  • Assist principal with daily tasks, projects, and special events as needed
  • Assist with record keeping, both daily reports and student records
  • Prepare reports and informational materials as needed
  • Oversee tracking of information, orders, and other materials submitted to the office

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

  • Ability to work independently and under pressure
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Ability to handle multiple projects with efficiency and accuracy
  • Good interpersonnal skills
  • Good communication skills
  • Display a wide degree of creativity and latitude
  • Working knowledge of technology, both general hardware and software products 

COMPUTER SKILLS:

  • Microsoft Word, Excel, Powerpoint

CERTIFICATES & LICENSES:

  • Willing/able to acquire DSS certification

Required Education: Associate's Degree
Required Experience: One to two year related experience
