POSITION SUMMARY: Manages and directs the Middle School play, which consists of three performances.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Determine the play choice alongside the school administration.
- Conduct a play tryout to determine appropriate cast members
- Develop each member of the cast to understand their role and develop their character
- Determine stage blocking and flow of the moving parts of the play
- Help create and find stage props and costumes
- Manage lighting and sound needs on the stage
- Work alongside administration for performance expectations and needs
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Vibrant walk with the Lord
- An understanding of directing a play
- An understanding of how to work with Middle School students
- Strong organization skills
- Strong communication skills
