Position Summary: Manage academic office and serve on administrative team. 

Key Results Area #1 – Help High School (HS) students reach their academic potential

  • Monitor student academic progress and support individually when necessary
  • Provide academic opportunities to share information regarding academics, college and career planning, college scholarships and finances, etc.
  • Advise students on yearly class selections

Key Results Area #2 – Help parents support their student’s academic progress

  • Provide individual parent counseling regarding Learning Resource Center (LRC) program and general diploma track as needed for their students
  • Communicate academic information to parents through a variety of formats (e.g. emails, one-on-one meetings, group sessions, website, etc).
  • Communicate with parents who have questions/concerns about academics

Key Results Area #3 – Help teachers support their student’s academic progress

  • Help teachers understand their individual student’s academic needs (e.g. Student Accommodation Plan)
  • Work with teachers on extended absence situations

Key Results Area #4 – Manage HS academic processes and procedures

  • Manage HS achievement testing
  • Manage grade reporting for grades 6-12
  • Manage student class registration and scheduling for grades 6-12
  • Manage HS student transcripts
  • Manage HS subs
  • Manage new student academic evaluations
  • Collaborate with Middle School and High School office as necessary

  • Able to tactfully deal with students, parents, and teachers concerning academic issues

Required Education: Master's Degree
Required Experience: Three to four years related experience
