As an Accounting Specialist, you will be primarily helping us with customer returns. This position allows for some schedule flexibility and has opportunities for cross-training and working on projects with the entire team. PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Process returns
- Process credits and issue refunds
- Review and mail invoices
- Coordinate problem-solving with the solutions team and other internal departments
- Cancel backorders
- Assist Customer Services with order information
- Coordinate with the Shipping Department on orders that need invoicing
- Coordinate with the Tax Department with tax certificates
- Check-in returns at the Press Distribution Center as a substitute
- Communicate with customers concerning returns, refunds, and credits
- Problem solve and help to implement new program
- Assist with special projects as needed
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
- Keyboarding skills
- Ability to work well with other departments
- Math/accounting skills
- Detail-oriented
- Problem-solving skills
- 2 years of college or previous accounting experience
COMPUTER SKILLS:
- Microsoft Excel, Access
- Experience with web-based software programs
