University Online Adjunct Biblical Counseling Faculty

POSITION SUMMARY:  Develop and facilitate online Biblical Counseling classes


  • Work closely with the Center for Distance Learning instructional design team to update and develop online Biblical Counseling classes
  • Check content as well as scope and sequencing of Biblical Counseling courses with the assigned Professor of Biblical Counseling, before they are offered online
  • Run the online courses developed when they are offered online
  • Interact with distance learning students, answering questions and evaluating their work
  • Submit grades to the Registrar's Office at the end of each course
  • Update online course as needed to keep them current
  • Participate in Annual Review Interview with the Associate Dean, about teaching for the previous academic year
  • Communicate the religious beliefs of BJU to students and student affiliates
  • Answer questions concerning faith, doctrine and creed of BJU to constituents, students, or those inquiring about BJU


  • Knowledge of and practical experience with Biblical Counseling
  • Understanding and experience in the use of Biblical Counseling in a local church context
  • Basic computer knowledge and the ability to learn applicable software
  • Good oral and written communication skills
  • Team Player: works well with colleagues
  • PhD in Biblical Counseling or Doctorate in Ministry preferred

Required Education: PhD
Required Experience: Five or more years related experience- online teaching preferred
