Student Development Administrative Assistant

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide administrative support to the Student Development Deans
    • Maintain schedules
    • Manage correspondence
    • Provide reports as needed
  • Perform delegated tasks as necessary
  • Manage various inquiries via phone, e-mail, and in person
    • Follow up to find answers and information as necessary
    • Provide prompt responses
  • Create and maintain a welcoming and friendly atmosphere in the office by establishing strong relationships with the office staff and providing excellent customer service to those who you interact with

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Familiarity with BJU policies and procedures
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Ability to pick up quickly on computer programs
  • Ability to analyze situations correctly and adopt an effective course of action
  • Ability to use discernment to make appropriate judgement calls
  • Ability to work well in a team environment
  • Effective oral and written communication
  • Professional in appearance and presentation

Required Education: Associate's Degree Preferred
Required Experience: No prior experience necessary
