BJA Day Camp Activity Leader (Student)

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Organizes and leads activities of children: rising 2nd through 8th grade
  • Supervises children’s play, ensuring physical safety
  • Guides children’s behavior and social development
  • Maintains a safe, clean, appealing environment
  • Performs simple first aid in emergencies
  • Leads in daily devotions with campers

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

  • Observant, active, and able to use sound judgment and initiative
  • Willing to accept responsibility and work cooperatively with others
  • Patient and understanding
  • Able to create, organize, and lead a variety of activities that encourage campers to use and develop a variety of their abilities
  • Able to relate well to children and their parents
  • Adequate physical stamina
  • Must be 18 years of age and graduated from high school prior to starting work. If just graduating high school should have at least one college level course completed.
