Content Marketing Intern (Student)

POSITION SUMMARY:  Writes blog content from a marketing perspective for the BJUToday website. This is a one-semester paid internship with the opportunity for extension.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
This digital content creator assists in the execution of content marketing with a strong focus on writing. Applicants should be comfortable taking direction from other team members, collaborating with other interns and staff, and taking initiative to learn about current and emerging digital trends.

The work includes:

  • Copy optimization for content marketing
  • Curate, research, design and write blog articles
  • Perform research & interviews for content
  • Write web copy
  • Collaborate with other interns and staff
  • Review and critique other marketing content

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

  • Must be enrolled as a student at Bob Jones University
  • Outstanding writing and editing skills
  • Strong familiarity with the web
  • Detail-oriented and organized
  • Familiarity with social media channels and audiences
  • Basic understanding of marketing concepts and principles
  • Quick learner who listens and asks good questions
  • Ability to meet deadlines and produce quality work
  • Enough confidence to share your ideas, participate in business conversations, and take and give constructive criticism
  • Positive disposition and ability to play well with others
