POSITION SUMMARY:  The Voice System student worker position is a technology position which will assist the other voice technicians and supervisor. The worker will learn the basics of digital, analog and VoIP telecom systems while following the directions of the leaders.


  • Interact with customers
  • Work 10 hours a week in blocks of at least 2 hours each
  • Driving to job sites – driver’s license required
  • Climb ladders up to 8 feet
  • Use common tools
  • Basic installation and maintenance of digital, analog, and VoIP telecom system
  • Must (occasionally) lift/carry up to 50  lbs.


  • Must be enrolled as a student at Bob Jones University
  • Personable while interacting with customers
  • Dependable, arriving to work in a timely manner and occasionally working without supervision
  • Must be able to discern all primary and secondary colors
  • Ability to work for several years
  • General grasp of technology
