Events Office Temporary Worker (Student)

POSITION SUMMARY:  We are looking for competent student workers to help the Events Management Office with set-up and take-down of special events (U-Day, Christmas Celebration, etc.). We are looking for someone who will work diligently, show initiative with minimal supervision and can uptake a variety of tasks. This person should be comfortable working with a high degree of attention to detail as well as incorporating new and effective ways to achieve better results.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Set up and break down events
  • Deliver and return items from a variety of areas on campus
  • Ability to multi-task, manage projects, and organize responsibilities
  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

  • Must be enrolled as a student at Bob Jones University
  • Willing to work a varying schedule
  • Ability to learn new skills
  • Must (occasionally) lift/carry up to 25 lbs. and push/pull up to 25 lbs.
