IT Assets Technician (Student)

POSITION SUMMARY: Provisioning and disposition of hardware and software assets.

            Please note:  3 references required when applying for this position.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Computer system imaging and sanitation
  • Hardware and software troubleshooting; data recovery
  • Software installation and troubleshooting
  • Receiving and distributing assets
  • Processing retired assets
  • Updating asset record information
  • Assist with software licensing and media
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisor

Crew Chief (in addition to above)

  • Train and assist with supervising student workers
  • Create and maintain process documentation

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

  • Must be 18 years old with a valid driver's license
  • Must be enrolled as a student at Bob Jones University
  • Good Working knowledge of operating systems (Microsoft Windows and Apple OS) and computer hardware components
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Good analytical skills
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Must (occasionally) lift/carry and/or push/pull up to 100 lbs.
