Graphic Design Specialist (Marketing)

POSITION SUMMARY:  We're seeking a graphic designer for print, digital, and other media who is interested in marketing and willing to occasionally travel.

POSITION DETAILS:

  •  Graphic designer: Produce and design visual communications that may integrate typography, photography, illustration, and other graphic elements by both digital and conventional means. Visual communications may include (but are not limited to) print advertising, digital advertising, websites, book covers, signage, package design, page layout, corporate branding and identity, and environmental design.
  • Design liaison: Work as a design representative with other team members on Marketing-related projects.
  • Marketer: Provide ideas, input, research, designs, copy, branding, and other creative and productive solutions that progress the marketing plan of BJU Press.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES: 

  • Has a strong interest in marketing, branding, and design
  • Proficient with Adobe Creative Suite (Primarily Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)
  • Web design/building skills helpful
  • Desires to motivate and inspire others within the company
  • Able to handle and adapt to task diversity
  • Able to conceptualize ideas and execute them
  • Able to communicate with others clearly and professionally
  • Able to work well with art direction (positively respond to suggestion or criticism)
  • Able to react well under pressure and meet deadlines

Required Education: Bachelor's Degree
Required Experience: One to two years
