Studio Production Support Specialist

  • Troubleshoot, diagnose and repair equipment issues to include studio and production equipment
  • Assist with yearly budget requests for equipment repairs, purchases, computer software and hardware needs by evaluating industry trends and conducting vendor research
  • Research, recommend, and set-up new production equipment
  • Organize work time to be able to meet a variety of deadlines
  • Assists in special projects as assigned by Operations Supervisor or Production Manager



  • Prior experience as an engineer in a broadcast or audio/video production facility preferred
  • Knowledge and significant experience with audio and video equipment (cameras, lights, microphones, tripods, switchers, graphics computers, recorders, etc.)
  • Experience with computers and networking
  • Experience with lighting for video and film
  • Mechanical and electrical aptitude
  • Ability to understand and troubleshoot signal flow (video, computer, audio)
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as operating and maintenance procedures, system documentation, technical manuals, system diagrams, etc.
  • Ability to clearly write detailed procedures and technical documentation.
  • The ability to creatively approach problems not covered by existing procedures is important
  • IP networking as it relates to production equipment control
  • Preferred knowledge of nonlinear editing concepts and practices
  • Preferred general IT support experience and skills

Required Education: Associate's Degree
Required Experience: One to two years related experience
