Press Digital Content Specialist

Position Summary: Coordinates the creation of supplementary digital content across various platforms for use in distance learning (DL) courses and other applications connected to BJU Press curriculum.


  • Guides subject matter experts through the academic design process for video segments to be used in DL courses and other applications.
  • Coordinates with the various departments in Press Digital to ensure educational goals are a primary consideration throughout the video segment production process.
  • Acts as a liaison to outside vendors/suppliers throughout the video segment production process and additional supplementary digital content.
  • Coordinates with additional departments (marketing, etc.), and outside entities in relation to all "contracted" projects which require digital content provided by Press Digital.


  • General knowledge of educational philosophy, general pedagogical and instructional design principles, particularly as they apply to distance learning and digital content for education
  • Knowledge of and experience with digital resources within an academic/educational setting
  • Excellent technological aptitude
  • Use of or at least strong familiarization with BJU Press materials
  • Planning, communication, and leadership skills
  • General understanding of the basic copyright/permissions rules and documentation for usage within digital content preferred, but not required
  • Ability to explain new content clearly and logically preferred, but not required
  • Ability to integrate biblical principles in subject matter preferred, but not required
  • Ability to model and teach critical thinking preferred, but not required
  • Master's Degree preferred
  • Experience teaching BJU Press curriculum in a classroom or other education-related setting preferred


Required Education: Bachelor's Degree
Required Experience: One to two years related experience
