POSITION SUMMARY:  Based on appropriate input and data collection, you will refine and manage a facilities master plan for BJU recognizing the influence and limitations of any deferred maintenance issues.


  • Support the strategic vision of Bob Jones University
  • Direct the activities of the project engineering staff
  • Coordinate with the CFMO (Chief Facilities Management Officer) to set goals and timelines for implementation of the approved master plan and related deferred maintenance issues
  • Find a balanced approach to engage in both the master and the deferred maintenance plans
  • Prepare, submit and adhere to budgets for implementation of master plan and deferred maintenance plan including resource needs, timeline for approved projects and coordination with internal/external resources
  • Control maintenance cost by proper selection of materials and recommendation of construction processes
  • Stay current with modern, accepted construction standards implementing these standards where appropriate


  • Analytical and engineering skill
  • Management skills (cost accounting, scheduling, estimating, project organization)
  • Ability to formulate goals and develop strategic plans
  • Ability to work effectively and efficiently under pressure adapting to a variety of circumstances
  • Ability to motivate others
  • Strong communication skills, both written and oral

Required Education: Bachelor's Degree
Required Experience: Five or more years related experience
