Child Development Center Director

Position Summary: Provides leadership and guidance for the workers and operations in the BJA Child Development Center. 

PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Serves as the BJA DSS Director
  • Oversee the daily operations of the CDC including supervision of the staff, direction of the program, and maintenance of the facilities
  • Comply with the DSS and DHEC policies and regulations with regard to workers, ratios, and facilities
  • Works with the ES principal on the hiring process for CDC workers
  • Lead teachers’ meetings and communicate regularly with workers
  • In cooperation with the ES principal, interview, tour, and recommend prospective families seeking CDC admission
  • Maintain strong, supportive communication with parents
  • Coordinate the scheduling of CDC workers
  • Coordinate building maintenance and repairs
  • Maintain current status of workers with regard to professional development and credentials

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Strong working knowledge of early age children
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Organizational ability and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to integrate biblical principals in instruction, counseling, and discipline
  • Professional in appearance and presentation

Required Education: Bachelor's Degree
Required Experience: Three to four years related experience
