POSITION SUMMARY:  The CFO will have primary day-to-day responsibility for planning, implementing, managing and controlling all financial operations of BJU Education Group (BJUEG).  The CFO will be the leader for implementation of BJUEG mission from a financial perspective, including the on-going evaluation, development, and implementation of the organization’s financial function and performance.


  • With spiritual sensitivity, leading improvement in the organization from a financial perspective
  • Contributing to organizational strategy development with a financial perspective
  • Leading decision-making on key issues with both financial and operational implications
  • Directly leading and or working with:
  • Overall BJUEG financial management team.
  • Relationship management and direction with BJU Inc. shared services agreements including Financial Services, Human Resources, IT and Facilities
  • Serving as business partner to the BJUEG operating units and BJU Inc. shared services in the assessment of organizational performance against both the annual budget and BJUEG's long-term financial strategy 
  • Providing timely and accurate analysis and interpretation of budgets, financial reports, and trends
  • Accurately communicating or supporting the communication of  the financial condition of the organization to executives, president and board
  • Controlling cost throughout the organization through the budgeting, monitoring, and auditing processes
  • Conducting contingency planning for events that could significantly impact financial stability
  • Providing appropriate training to financial and operations team for professional and personal growth
  • Overseeing the on-going development and monitoring of internal control systems designed to preserve BJUEG assets, report accurate financial results, comply with GAAP, complete annual audit, and comply with applicable federal, state, and local regulatory laws and rules for financial and tax reporting
  • Insuring full legal compliance on all financial areas and coordinating our relationship with legal service providers

Required Education: Bachelor's Degree
Required Experience: Five or more years related experience
