POSITION SUMMARY: Perform diversified administrative duties for the efficient operation of the office.


  • Process paperwork including transcription, data entry, and proofreading for accuracy
  • Screen and direct incoming mail and calls; provide accurate information/assistance in a timely and courteous manner
  • Coordinate travel arrangements and screen unscheduled visitors
  • Expedite materials or actions according to instructions with little or no supervision within assigned time frame
  • Review, organize and maintain records for all faculty/staff and student evaluations
  • Review all reimbursement requests and prepare requisitions for the high school division
  • Manage projects assigned by principal
  • Track department budgets; prepares check requests
  • Coordinate building security with Public Safety; monitor the school bell system and Markham Center entry doors
  • Create and distribute the Record
  • Conduct daily inventory and order teacher and office supplies
  • Assist principal with appointments, projects, events, activities, drills, and discipline records
  • Answer telephones; greet and handle visitors, teachers, and students for the principal
  • Report maintenance issues to the proper departments
  • Oversee copiers in all HS buildings
  • Secure teacher chaperones for lunch and special events
  • Keep inventory and record of all administrators, teachers, and staff keys
  • Coordinate room reservations for HS buildings
  • Assist with other duties as directed by principal


  • Good telephone skills with a multi-line phone system
  • Strong communication skills, both written and oral
  • Ability to relate well to students, staff, and the general public in a courteous and professional manner
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Excellent keyboarding skills
  • Proficient knowledge and usage of technology
  • Computer skills
    • Ability to learn and efficiently use the following:
      • Sycamore
      • UltiPro
      • Footprints
      • NetSuite
    • Proficient in the following:
      • Microsoft Excel
      • Microsoft PowerPoint
      • Microsoft Word

Required Education: High School Graduate or GED-- Bachelors Degree preferred
Required Experience: Three to four years related experience
