POSITION SUMMARY:  The Executive Assistant to the president/CEO of  BJU Education Group will oversee executive level events and programs; provide executive level support and counsel; coordinate functions required for the efficient operation of the president’s office; perform diversified and advanced organizational duties; expedite material or actions requested by the president; and work projects to assist the organizational strategy.

Fonts and Text Permissions Specialist

POSITION SUMMARY: Receive requests for fonts and text permissions from Permissions Manager. Research,  acquire, and document fonts and text permissions for BJU Press products. Occasionally assist with photo permissions and research.

POSITION SUMMARY: As Testing Updating Specialist, you will assist in a variety of responsibilities at the Testing Center including recording inventory, restocking materials on shelves, processing incoming mail, checking test documents for accuracy, data entry, assisting customers via phone, and preparing test booklets for recirculation.

Page Layout Specialist

POSITION SUMMARY:  As a BJU Press page-layout specialist, you have a part in creating textbooks and other K-12 educational products as you place text and images into Adobe InDesign templates. The materials are all prepared for you—it’s your job to bring them together on the page. You work with an editor and other team members to proof and fine-tune the pages. When your project is finished, you send the files to the BJU Press Printing Division and then look forward to holding the printed book in your hands or seeing your work in the form of a digital textbook.

POSITION SUMMARY: The Qualitative Research Analyst will develop and implement qualitative research projects for BJU Press and its products and services. Primary responsibilities will center on conducting in-depth interviews and focus groups and will require excellent people skills. This person will also assist with providing analysis of data received via post-discussion surveys.

POSITION SUMMARY: As a BJU Press editor, you are part of a team that embraces the mission of producing K-12 educational materials with a biblical worldview for Christian schools and homeschools. Your workday might include copyediting a textbook manuscript or marking corrections on the page proofs of a teacher’s edition. As an editor, you are immersed in the details of a project. Your goal is to ensure that the writer’s message is communicated to the target audience clearly and accurately through all the elements of a product--text, graphics, and layout.

Distribution Center Order Filler (Student)

POSITION SUMMARY:  The Order Filler is responsible for quickly and accurately picking the correct items and quantities from the flow rack and packing them properly into the correct box on the pick line, according to the box plan.

HOURS REQUIRED:  Minimum of 10 hours per week. All work is done between 8am and 5pm Monday-Friday.  No evenings or weekends.  BLOCKS OF TWO HOURS are needed (preferably in the afternoon).  They do NOT need to be the same two hours each day.

Middle School Orchestra Director's Assistant (Student)

POSITION SUMMARY:  This student will be present for preferably all 5 days of orchestra each week.

BJU Press Digital Actor

POSITION SUMMARY:  Student actors perform in various educational video clips used with our BJU Press curriculum for K5­­­­–12th grade. Hours are scheduled for recording around the student actor’s class schedule as well as studio availability. Typically recording happens no more than once every other week for approximately 3–4 hours at a time. Specific scheduling is coordinated by one of our BJU Press Digital Producers based on individual acting roles available for casting. A screen test is typically required.

POSITION SUMMARY:  Supervise the Academy Gym for safety and meet the needs of participants with Lost & Found, equipment, set-up of equipment, etc

Distribution Center Packer/Loader (Student)

POSITION SUMMARY:  The Packer/Offloader scans, packs and seals all boxes coming through the picking line, loads the UPS trailer, prepares palletized orders for LTL shipments and delivery orders and assists at the customer pick-up window when needed.
