Position Summary: Create, download, and post test results using varied scoring software. Evaluate damaged return materials and bill for damaged or missing test materials; communicate with customers about those damaged/missing items. POSITION SUMMARY:  As a BJU Press page-layout specialist, you have a part in creating textbooks and other K-12 educational products as you place text and images into Adobe InDesign templates. The materials are all prepared for you—it’s your job to bring them together on the page. You work with an editor and other team members to proof and fine-tune the pages. When your project is finished, you send the files to the BJU Press Printing Division and then look forward to holding the printed book in your hands or seeing your work in the form of a digital textbook.

POSITION SUMMARY:  A proofreader assists the project editors by checking and reading page proofs of BJU Press products. The proofreader increases the value of the products through catching errors and inconsistencies, ensuring the product’s conformity to BJU Press style, lowering production costs through working efficiently and attentively, and using standard departmental procedures and guidelines. When not busy proofreading, a proofreader reviews BJU Press policies and procedures and other appropriate reference materials or performs related tasks as directed by the proofreading supervisor.
