Assist Middle School Assistant Principal with office responsibilities, especially focusing on academic support.


  • Office support
    • General care for immediate student, parent, and teacher needs, e.g. phone support
    • As assigned by MS assistant principal, assist administrative assistant with MS projects
  • Academic focus: office support
    • Maintain student records
    • Oversee student forms (e.g. athletic forms; immunizations)
    • Schedule school photos
    • Provide teacher/student scheduling for Open House
    • Send records for transfer students (e.g. report cards, testing, immunizations)
    • Provide enrollment confirmation letters
    • Submit academic-related charges
    • Assign lockers
    • Maintain textbook supply (new book order, lost textbooks, teacher editions)
    • Distribute student information (e.g. passwords; schedules; back to school night packets)
    • Record substitute teachers middle school assistant principal obtains
  • Academic focus: assist middle school principal with academic support
    • Assist teachers with gradebook needs
    • Manage middle school student registration including scheduling changes, music lessons
    • Check grades for sports teams
    • Coordinate with director of academic advising middle school registration and scheduling
    • Create and distribute Student Accommodation Plans
    • Manage middle school achievement testing
    • Assist middle school principal with academic events [e.g. Step Up Day]
    • Assist middle school principal with academic evaluations for admission
    • As needed assist middle school principal with student academic progress needs: makeup work, struggling students, recommending for psycho-educational testing; may include conversations with parents, students, and faculty

  • Multi-task well, with efficiency and accuracy
  • Good communication and peoples skills (oral and written)

Required Education: Bachelor's Degree preferred
Required Experience: Three to four years related experience
